Hello to all my lovely subscribers, thank you to the new ones, I’m very greatful you are here and I’m very grateful to those who have stayed! This post is for both free and for those who generously support me with a small monthly subscription, about the price of a large hot choc with the trimmings. I’ve decided to share the process of this particular painting as I was trying to explain to someone how it evolved. I ended up just showing her the video and I thought you might like to see it too.
So here is how I developed The Stripy Jug, It’s painted in oil over acrylic… I’ve not added a voice-over so you can watch it anywhere… oh except the last 9 seconds has Kenny Rogers’ joyous voice which is a little random but that part is taken straight from Instagram and I haven’t the necessary skills to remove it!
The first bit is me starting to scribble…..
Then I get excited…! If you are watching this in a meeting, early warning of the last 9 seconds and now I have images of Kenny Rogers interrupting court hearings and teacher training days… how marvellous!
